As the sun rises over El Paso on Sunday morning, October 11^th at Southwest University Park, an all-new yoga, meditation, health and fitness event will take place in the form of the first ever, SUNRISE YOGA FESTIVAL.

Certified Yoga Instructors Carly Dubow and Angela Firewalker lead a team of the top yoga instructors from the El Paso Region for three super-sessions on the field where the El Paso Chihuahuas play baseball.  Promoters of the event are looking for hundreds, if not thousands to share in the practice of yoga and its healing system of strength, awareness, and harmony in both the mind and body.

“Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness, relieves chronic stress patterns, releases the mind, centers attention and sharpens concentration”, comments MD Natalie Nevins, (American Osteopath Organization).  She points out the benefits for those who regularly practice yoga lead to improved respiration, energy, vitality, athletic performance, flexibility, muscle and tone.

In addition to the yoga sessions on the ballpark grass, a numbers of exhibits, booths and demonstrations will feature sessions on meditation, yoga for beginners, yoga poses and demonstrations, tai chi demos, low-impact Pilates, fitness booths and much, much more!

Tickets are $20.00 in advance / $25.00 day of event for event participants; $10.00 for visitors and guests.  Part of the proceeds will be donated to fund mammograms for those who cannot afford the procedure.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and event organizers believe this is the perfect event to bring awareness to women’s health and promote breast cancer awareness.
